Manchester United Stage Dramatic Comeback Win To Reclaim Second Spot

Manchester United in a dramatic fashion came from a two goal deficit to beat Crystal Palace 2-3 at Selhurst Park.


The Match began with Crystal Palace dominating proceedings with Manchester Uncompound able to find the right balance. To compond the Red Devils woes, The Eagles took the lead in the 11th mins through Andros Townsend shot deflecting off Lindelof. The First half ended 1-0

Manchester United coach, introduced  Marcus Rashford at Halftime but it proved abortive as Crystal Palace extended their lead to 2-0 with a Van Aanholt shot hitting the Top left corner in the 48th mins.

However, it was all going to be Manchester United's day as the introduction of Juan Mata payed off with Chris Smalling heading home to reduce the deficit to 2-1 in the 55th mins. United Striker, Romelu Lukaku took his Premier League goal tally to 14 as he drew the game level in the 76th mins to make it 2-2.

Manchester United Goalie, David De Gea as usual then denied Crystal Palace a win as he made a stunning and world class save from Palace's striker, Christian Benteke header.


However, It was Nemanja Matic who stole the spotlight with a Man of the Match display as he scored a last gasp stunning volley to make the encounter 2-3 in the 91st mins, giving Manchester United a much needed win as they leapfrog Liverpool to reclaim 2nd spot.


Manchester united now sit in 2nd with 62points to strengthen their Top Four pursuit while Crystal Palace languish in the relegation zone.
